Hurts to laugh

Not feeling much better. It is, however, hilarious watching my youngest play the Toy Story video game. It is a full body experience taking up a good portion of the living room. He walks around in whichever direction he is trying to make Buzz go. And he laughs hysterically every time he punches the pig. Wish is didn't hurt so much to laugh with him.

Christmas Cards-Done!

After a very hectic week, I am happy to report that I have been one lazy bum today. I did manage to run a load of dishes and a load of laundry. But each time I walk past the kids messy rooms, I just keep going. I also turned a blind eye to the state of the laundry room and have avoided the linen closet at all cost. Today is for being lazy. The best thing about being lazy is that I was able to order our Christmas cards. Better late than never. Most are hand delivered so timing won't make too much difference. Here is a sneak peek of some of the pictures we used -taken by my ever extraordinary sister-in-law, Jennie. Feast your eyes on these adorable kids!

Today I am also gloating over the purchase of home where the playroom is the furthest room from my bedroom. It has been a beautiful day!

Sugar and Spice Turns 4!

For Sugar and Spice's Happy Birthday dinner he of course wanted Sweet Tomatoes. It is, after all, his favorite place to eat. Unfortunately, he had a bit of a tummy ache the entire time, and ended up getting sick once he got home. :( But, he did get some great presents! A few days later he got a 2nd Birthday party complete with more presents and friends. His favorite part was getting cards from everyone. With each new card that he opened he would ask if he could keep it. Too cute!

A bit overdue...

This was by far my favorite gift this past Christmas season. It first appeared on Christmas morning. Amid the flying wrapping paper, new toys, and excitement, Sugar and Spice jumped up and ran to his room retrieving his beloved book. With the most pure desire to join in the giving of the morning, he brought it to me tucked behind his back and proclaimed, "Mommy, I got this just for you!" It was a sweet and tender moment. I watched as he gave to me a book he loved. He as so excited to be part of the morning excitement! I was so thankful for the sweet reenactment just two days later on My Little Reader's birthday when he again ran to his room and brought back his beloved book to present to his sister. I love that this sweet boy of mine was so willing (and excited) to participate that he was willing to give up something that he really loves. Definitely a great moment this Christmas season!

Last but not least, a tribute to Sugar and Spice

1. He has the best laugh!

2. Which I get to hear a lot because he has a lot of tickle spots!

3. He loves chocolate possibly even more than his Phoenix Moma and his daddy!

4. He loves to sneak food... most frequently blueberry muffins.

5. He loves to cuddle.

6. Even though he is almost three he still loves to rock with his mommy.

7. He almost never calls me mommy like his sisters, instead I am always Momma!

8. He uses the word "even" all the time ... "Even mommy it is raining outside."

9. After watching Monsters vs. Aliens he left the theater big-eyed and kept telling me that the movie was "too spicy".

10. He does a great job keeping up with his sisters.

11. He stills loves to sleep in his crib.

12. He loves to listen to stories.

13. When he is really hungry he will try to use his fork and spoon at the same time...one in each hand both full of food!

14. He never forgets to say his nigh-nigh prayers and loves to be tucked in.

15. When he met Mickey Mouse his smile lit up the whole room!

16. He remembers people who are important to him even if he hasn't seen them in too long (I'm talking about you Leslie and Uncle Greg and Tara and Bedelicia!)

17. He loves his family, but I think he might love his Tucson Opa the most!
