Seriously...today our "spirit day" is crazy hat day. So much for teaching and learning today. Because really, what is more interesting- learning about crustaceans or examining Sophia's gigantic sombrero complete with dangling donkey, pinata, and maraca. I guess when we are done examining her hat maybe we can examine Derek's duck hat complete with moving wings. At least we had DIBELS on Wednesday. I feel for the teachers that have it today...if their hats look anything like mine, they don't stand a chance. I wonder how we will account for that "variable" in our data analysis.
PS...I just found out that Derek's hat also quacks. And yes...now all of my 21 kindergarten students are quacking. It is going to be a beautiful day.
